Did a fairly exhaustive search on the 'net for info on this. Came up empty. The problem: Use MSN for my home page. Use MSNBC to catch up on the news. Most of the articles are videos. Can't play any of them. Sometimes the "ad" will play - but stall at some point during the buffering process. Cannot proceed further than that in order to access the MSNBC video. Missing out on a whole bunch of news.

Thanks for the attention,

Richard

Hi Richard
Sorry for the delay in replying.
I've just tried MSNBC and NBC news on IE 11, latest Firefox and Chrome browsers with no video problems in Windows 7.
That doesn't help you much, but I'm curious to know if you've tried those sites using other browsers?
From what you say and please correct me if I'm wrong, sometimes the video actually starts, but stalls on the buffering process which could point to an internet connection problem.
How long has the problem been around for?
Marc

Marc -

Using IE9. Problem has been around for a couple of weeks. Just fired up my PC then. Would going to an advanced version of IE help?

Thanks,

Richard

Which version of windows are you on Richard?
Either way, it's definitely worth trying MSNBC in another browser so we can isolate the problem.
Try downloading Chrome and/or Firefox, install and go to the problem pages.
Let me know what occurs.

Got to be IE9, tried to play MSNBC videos with IE8 in my XP but videos would not even load. Played fine in IE11.

Richard, try updating IE9 to IE10 if your OS will support it.
Here:

and then let us know how you get on.
Daniel, thanks for your input.
