If I remember correctly you can create a shortcut in C:\Users\yourusername\Links and it will apear in the left pane.

Hi Guys,

I'd like to have my places where I "Save As" be in the "Save As Window" rather than Computer, Desktop, and so forth.

Is it possible to change?

I'll attach what I'm trying to describe.

Here's a shot in the dark...

Remove AC and pull the battery so there is no power available to the laptop at all. Open the screen and hold down the power button for about 30 seconds. Restore AC and replace the battery and see if it turns on.

Glad to hear it. Cocoon is an excellent option, the thing which surprised me most is there is zero lag when connecting through Cocoon's servers. In fact, I swear it often seems faster.

My son gave me his Dell Inspiron 400 to have a look at. The last time he used it it went into hibernation and now wont start at all. When you power up the PC the power lamp goes white then immmediately goes amber/yellow to indicate it is still in hibernation. There is nothing on any connected monitor...

Type services.msc into the start menu. In the results right click on Services and click Run as Administrator.

When the new window opens scroll down to the W's (they are alphabetical).

Do you see an entry for Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant? If so, what is listed under the Status and Startup Type...

I'm in the "no add-ons" mode. Tried to "reset" my login info in order to make sure that the "remember me" box was checked. It was. Same old stuff. No Windows Live tool bar. It might be too late, at this date, but would a System Restore to a date preceding the onset of this malady do any good? ...

A VPN is always a good option. Trouble is those that offer a full service, zero limitations, also cost $$$$.

Thought that might be the case. I'm perfectly happy with either but for the luddites on our proper forum tinymce is probably best. They've had it for the last 18 months anyway.
